Anybody know good whipping spots on Maui? So far I've been on every side without much luck. So far I've only caught a rock fish jigging on the south side in Kihei. Had a strike the other morning on the north shore, but didn't set and the other month just a chaser, looked like an Omilu.

Also wondering if my setup is alright:

9 foot ugly stik medium action: 4 - 20 #
Penn Fierce 3000 w/ 15# braided power pro uni uni to 20 # microfilament leader with a palomar knot.

So far I've been using 1/2 and 1/4 oz. lures

Have a good one!

your setup if perfect just gotta keep pounding the grounds. go and try find the most secluded spots where hardly anybody goes to. even if it means walking miles and miles
