Glowing MW Lure? Empty
PostSubject: Glowing MW Lure?   Glowing MW Lure? EmptyThu Sep 09, 2010 11:51 pm

Hey Mark, I love using your lures, but as you know at night,..if it does not have smell or if it does not glow, it wor't work...Have you ever thought about making a lure that would have a faint glow to it so it could be used at night. Our harbor is pretty good for night papio catching. I have caught my share with glow worms and glow strips. But now a glow MW lure where you don't need to use added wieght on the line to cast it would be great. scratch

Hi MauiGuy,

I actually love to fish in the dark.
My favourite is very early morning, before the sun raise.
Then in the evening.

I found that the Ceramic lures work quite well in the dark in fact.
When I fish in the dark, I alway use the darker lures possible, as down here the glowing ones seems to spook the fishes.
But a black lure at night is good, as it is actually the one which give the better silhouette than clear ones.
When I was first told of this I was thinking: Yeah right, they still see me as a tourist... Wink

But if fact that is true.

So in the dark I fish mostly with the black one with red eyes.
Retrieving as fast as I can, with the rod tip high, so the lure makes a lot of splashes and skip on the top of the water.
It is beautiful, you don't see anything just ear the splash and your line start to peels off of your reel real fast.
I love it!

Down here it works wonder on Queenfish ( I think you call them leatherskin or something like that?) and Trevally.

And as a disclaimer, I do not own any shares in Mark White Lures Enterprises. Laughing

Have a good day,
Pecheur

I think it would help the angler more than the fish. When you think about the fact that all predator fish have huge pupils that let a very small amount of light in, it's no wonder that whippers like Pecheur can get action in the dark. Plus there's the top water commotion factor which is very much the attention grabber. Another factor that might also aid a fish in finding my lures in the dark would be the nearly pure gold coating (23k) around eyes and on the sides that is fired into the glaze. The noble metal coating gives off a weak electro-magnetict charge that some researchers say is similar to what bait fish give off on their lateral nerve that predators sense and can hone in on. Thanks for the post! m

I am going to try my black MW tonight and see/hope it attracts some responses....Last night I stayed out for 1/2 hour only, due to too many people at the Habor, it was like a family reunion out there with sleeping cots, chairs and what ever else you can think of, so the fishing was not good at all. So I came home and got some much needed Sleep ... Now I am going to go out and try my new Oama's.

Hey, how do you set the time correctly on this board. I just posted this at 10: am and it shows 8 pm
