just got my new mark white lure (1/4 oamo) and went to ala moana beach (ala wai side) to practice throw. Well my son (15 yrs) newbie wanted to practice throw too. His first cast he doesn't even lift the bail. I guess he's nervous with all the people running and all. next cast he gets it STUCK!!!! i almost said a word that rhymes with stuck. After walking side to side for 10 minutes thinking i just lost 10 bucks I was able to jar it loose. What a relief. Didn't want to press my luck since it was dark already so i packed it up. Get to my car i take off the lure and put it on the bumper. break down the pole, make sure i have my kids in the car and im off.
On the way i talked to my son about taking care of this special lure. At home i started to unload then it hit me. Where is the Oamo lure? That's right i left it on the bumper. gonners couldn't find it. Must be getting old. I couldn't tell my son what i did but next time he gets it stuck i might start laughing.
