| Any special way to use the lure for papio and kaku? I live in Oahu,Kalihi and i'm if theres any special way to use these lures ^^ Im using a 1.5 oz. 7' Ugly stick with what appears to be a Shakespear reel gear ratio 4.6.1 #20 power pro (no gloves so i do get cuts ).Any help would be nice ty Btw Im 11 | |

You want more speed with less effort. Ultra fast retrieve is best. Go to the technical thread and ck out my gear picks. For the 1.5 oz. 20#pp is too light. 50lbers will chomp it and you won't have a chance. A longer pole like 10' would be much better also. Read what others have to say about whipping on the other forums. Make sure you have about 4-6' of mono leader. For the 1.5 I use 40-50#pp with 60# Seaguar fluorocarbon leader. Good luck! m | |

| I have a ready made berkly fishing wire #30 it has the weird looking front to attach your lure to it the wire leader is about 7"
I also will switch between ur 1.5,1.0,and your 1/2 oz.

Wire in Hawaii=very little chance for a hook up. It's hard to be effective with 1 rig and that range of lures. I use a different rig for every lure weight except for my fresh water rigs. m | |

| wow really ? I can catch choke fish in clear-ish water thanks for advice mark.Will Yo-zuri line work also the 20-50 lb test ?
