Spool Question

I have a New Penn 950 SSm and need to buy line for it. What lb test and brand do you think would work best against big Ulua. It says 300 yards of 30lb test is the most on the reel.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

Thats one big reel for whip with, But if your going for big game you can just run 100lb power pro or Tuffline. My arms feel tired already

If you going dunk i would not just use Braid because braid floats and makes it easier to get tangled, And if you do get tangle breaking 100lb test is hard work. You can just use suffix 40lb test diameter is equal to 30lb and if you like you can put braid on the reel first like 150yrd then the rest Mono.

I just filled my Penn 950ss with 35lb test mono start, uni-uni to 150 yds of 100lb test spiderwire, then uni-uni to 60 yds of 60lb test mono because that is all i had. Good setup for dunking?

Also, Penn 750 with 150yds of 25lb test mono, then uni-uni to 150 yd of 40lb powerpro. For my 13' whipping pole and MW 1.5 oz lure.

Im just starting and wondering on opinions of these setups.
