Replacement

1/2 oz lures do not have split rings. Could anyone advise me on how to replace the treble hooks? Looks like size 6?

Buy some owners split rings and tie you own trebles or hit Mark up for some replacement hooks.

I tired the wolverine #3 split ring but the were to big for the 1/2 loops and stock treble hook.
You could do it if you use a larger hook. You won't be able to attach to the front of the lure because the loop.is to small. You could force it but you loose good action.

Thanks. How do I remove the old hook though? It does not have a split ring. I guess I need to cut the eye of the hook?

Yes, you would need to cut the eye. Not easy on the #4 Owner ST66. I can do it for you if you want to send it back. Email me at surfspot@hawaii.rr.com
