Tavarua Questions for Mark

My boss is heading to Tavarua next year. He went this year in August and kinda got skunked. I saw your videos so hoping to get some background for him.

He was told that March is the best time of year there for fishing. Do you have any thoughts on the best time of year?

Also, his whipping rig is 60 lb braid with a 70 lb leader. Which of your surface plugs would you recommend (weight/color). I believe they went by boat and whipped a reef, but got nothing.

Finally, trolling outfits - which of your products here should he look at? I don't think he's too good at rigging, so I think he needs the full rigged sets.

The only success they had on their trip was live-baiting sardines from the boat.

I was waiting for him to give me the "incentive trip" invite, but so far nothing. Maybe this might do it.

I think anytime can be good. I see pix of a lot of fish from Tavarua. As far as gear, the 1.5 and 3oz. in white/blk eyes, black/silver sides and red/black eyes should work well for him. As far as trolling gear, the 7" and 5" bullets have consistently produced for the guys who have dragged them down there. Any color seems to work. Black and cobalt blue and white are all good choices. Well, he decided to book his trip for Spring Break...I didn't get a ticket.

But I did get him to make a pretty good size order on your site today, based on your recs (I think I got it correct - you can change the colors as you see fit, I couldn't find "black/silver sides" as option).

Bummers on the ticket. Mahalos for the help in making the order. The black/silver sides is not on the web site but I can add some for Alan.

Thanks, Mark. That'd be awesome if you can get those black/silver sides in for him. I think I put the Black/Red Eyes as the choice instead so please replace those.
