Got this 40 pounder on the black with silver sides. Fish was released to fight again.

WOW....what is your setup? line,pole,reel.etc..been wanting to step up to throwing 1 to 3 ozers...just lost two 1/2 oz mw's on sizeable fish

Thanks! This fish took about a minute and a half, maybe two at most. As much as possible, I try not to let the fish run on the initial strike. If the fish is able to take line, it seems your chances of landing it go way down. Yes, this fish was tagged and released, hopefully to be caught and released again. I do like the black with silver sides, but I think my favorite is still the black with red head.
