Red 1/2 oz action!

I caught this little guy on an early morning whipping session. I was using my 9' UglyStik Light with a Penn 550 loaded with 10# mono. I tied the lure straight to the main line with a polomar knot. It was a fun fight and I released him unharmed.

Thanks MG. I agree on the red. I live on the east side of the big island,caught this one on the west side.

how do you kno where to fish? I went to big island and the whole island looked like one giant fishing spot. haha. i even saw papio at the Hilton Waikaloa. crazy gud fishing there.

Big Island has Sooooo much shore line you could fish for years and not cover it all. I lived in Kona in the mid 70's , it was the wild wild west back then.

You guys are right the big island has so much good coast line to fish.So that makes it easy for me to choose where I fish, I will normaly whip close to home in the puna area, and then I go camping on the west/south side, and slide bait. Squeezing whipping sessions between catching my bait. And sliding it.
