Awaawa aka Milkfish Empty
PostSubject: Awaawa aka Milkfish   Awaawa aka Milkfish EmptySun May 09, 2010 4:11 am

This was sent to me by one of my loyal pluggers. "Went kayak fishing for two hours with shrimp and ika bait. We were trying to catch bait fish for something bigger. On the way back when we were about 15 minutes out from the harbor, I decided to troll a 1 oz MW lure. Ten minutes later hooked up to this 8 lb awa. Very fun!"

Hi there,

Nice fish!
Must have pulled like mad.
Do you guys eat these ones?

Down here we do not eat them.
There is some pretty big ones swimming around, but people fish for them with braid as bait and the smallest hook possible.
I had never heard of one of them caught on lure before.

Have a good day,
Pecheur
