IS The Penn550ssg
good for you lure in the 1/2 - 1 oz range?
the line weight will be 20-30 Suffix 832

The Rod is a 7ft ugly stik.

P.S. Is Braided linde good for the reel?

try the Penn Battle 4000, I hear it's really nice. I'm going to get one also to test out and report on it.

i'm buying a Shimano Stradic 6000fi
Is there anything to do to keep it for 2 years+ ?
Any tips would also be nice !

Rinse it gently every time you use. Lossen the drag to store between uses

bought the Stradic 8000fi .
It will serve we well Smile
saw 5# papio snoop on the 1/2 oz green/yllw today . then kicked out for being in the wrong side of the gate :/

Hey Mark I'm really interested in hearing what you think about the Penn Battle 4000. Im going to do a lot of fishing this summer and want to upgrade to a reel with better drag and faster retrieve. I was looking at either the Stradic FI or FJ in the 4000, but the Battle is cheaper and the stats are good.

No prob, I still have about 2 months before my summer fishing starts Laughing I've been raised on nothing but Shimano, but the for the price, the Battle looks promising. I'll keep my eyes open for the review. Thanks!
