Hey all, wanted to see if anybody is using braided line like powerpro green. Just got some 15# and have been checking the pros and cons for using them with these lures and in salt water. any input would be appriciated!

Yes, I use braid on all my rigs except the ultra lites which is 4-6 Ande mono. Braid does not work well on old style Penn SS reels. I gradually switched to Shimano's Hardly any problems and much faster retrieves.

I have a new Penn ssg 450 and with the elec. tape on the spool I haven't had any problems yet.... yet being the key word. definitely like the casting distance and the added strength. Thanks MW
