Here is my son's first catch with a mark white lure. First time ever whipping with the plug. Told him my technique, right time of day to throw. After the sun went down, I spotted 3 papio chasing some bait fish and told my boy to launch that lure and sure enough, hanapaa. This is how time and effort, plus the love of fishing pays off in the end.
Guess who's gonna join his dad more often now.

fish was released to get bigger, also teaching him about conservation. Take only when needed.

The boy is all smiles. Congrats on turning him from toys to fishing. Better to be out with Dad in the sun learning the ocean, so where's your fish? Laughing

mahalos guys, he was so proud of himself. So was I.

As for my fish, this day was all about him. All I had was my camera ready. Caught the whole thing on my camera phone but dang thing crashed and I lost the video. Good thing I had a back up camera to catch that smile. We'll be back out again soon.
