| Hi Mark,
Really nice fish! Congratulation to Pat! Was it trolling or casting?
Have a good day, Pecheur

| Hi Mark, Thanks for the info. It looks like a big lure, must have been hard work to retrieve a lure of this size... But worth it it the end, as we can see. We say Spinning here. Aslo I was wondering, do you guys have a different name for the same fish, depending of it size? (In regards to Trevally). Have a good day, Pecheur | |

Have a good day, Pecheur Pecheur, in regards to your question, we do have different names for the same fish depending on size. The fish in the picture is an "ulua" as it is over 10 pounds. A fish under 10 pounds would be considered a "papio". We also have many other varieties of trevally here in hawaii.

| Hey, Thank you for the information Westkauaiboi. Now I understand a bit more. I was finding it confusing when I was looking at the photo of some fish on the forum and they would come with different names but seemed the same kind of fish to me... Have a good day, Pecheur | |

Aloha MauiGuy, We know Pat as a family friend. Probably one of the coolest guys I've met. When he does his travels, I believe he does it for the sport of fighting GT's/Ulua's. So pretty much C&R and maybe T&R. But I think Mark can verify that since he went on a trip with him

| Aloha UncleWeno, where were they fishing at, Kauai? That bugga get one big bottom lip eh. That is a very nice catch on a spinner. So far I have caught 4, 5 pounders on my MW lures but nothing like that, except on our Ulau poles slide baiting overnight with me working the poles and my partner Aloha, Robert | |
